The 18th edition of Futurecom was the scene of discussions and debates on trends in telecommunications, IT and the internet. The most important event of the sector in Latin America was attended by executives of the main companies and members of institutions and public bodies, responsible for the decisions that define the future of applications and norms that govern communications.
In 2016, Futurecom's core themes were the Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Transformation, Smart Cities, Connected Enterprise, Digital Security, mobile and fixed broadband (with high optical fiber growth ), Big Data & Analytics, SDN / NFV and next generation 4G and 5G networks.
In this edition, 5 panel discussions highlighted the main topics under discussion in Latin America in the ICT sector: Digital Single Market, Digital Spectrum and Inclusion. In order to discuss them, they were the presidents of telecommunications operators in Brazil and Latin American countries, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations.
