Representatives of Colombian Press Will be present at Futurecom 20007. Guillermo Calderon from El Tiempo and Orlando Rojas from Evaluamos already confirmed their presences at the Event.

While in Colombia , President for Provisuale, Mr. Laudálio Veiga Filho met Mr. Sérgio Quiroga, President for Ericsson Latin America.
 
Mr. Quiroga kindly introduced him some of the main executives from local mobile and fixed telephony operators, among them:
 
- Mr. José Manuel Astigarraga, President for TIGO;
- Mr. Sergio Regueros, President for Telefónica Móviles
- Dr. Dario Lara Caicedo, Vice-President for ETB.
 
Mr. Veiga Filho also met Dr.  Lorenzo Villegas Carrasquilla, President of the Comisión de Regulación de Telecomunicaciones de Colombia, who informed him in detail about the regulatory aspects of Telecommunications in that country.
 
Mr. Robert C. McIntyre already has occupied several leadership roles at Scientific Atlanta Transmission and Subscriber businesses, a Cisco Company, where he currently holds the Technical Chief role.

Anteriorly, Mr McIntyre was CEO for Avex Inc., Vice President for Augat’s Interconnection Products Group and for GTE Communication Systems. He also also spent 11 years at General Electric, working in a variety of technical management positions.

McIntyre holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy and Materials from Carnegie Mellon University.  He has done graduate work at Penn State in Engineering Mechanics, and at Gannon University in Business Administration Training programs
 

Ambassador Ronaldo Mota Sardenberg, President for ANATEL, confirms his presence at Futurecom 2007.

He will participate at Grand Opening Ceremony at October 1st, and will pronounce a Speech as Honor Guest at October, 02nd.

 

During a travel to Colombia, President for Provisuale, Mr. Laudálio Veiga Filho, had the opportunity to visit the national Mobile Telephony Operator Colombia Móvil – TIGO, in Bogotá. He was welcomed by President for the Company, Mr. José Manuel Astigarraga, who argued about the Latin American Telecommunication Market, besides regarding the participation of TIGO in Futurecom 2007.

 

Federal Deputy Paulo Bornhausen confirms his important participation in one more edition of Futurecom.

He will be present at Grand Opening Ceremony and also will participate in a Political Strategic Panel.

 

With more than 25 years of experience in the communications industry, Pierson drives the development of global strategy in the LG-Nortel Joint Venture, with a focus on Small Medium Business, Enterprise Telephony, SIP Voice and Multimedia  Clients and Enterprise Mobility.

Since joining Nortel in 1980, Mr. Pierson focused on International Communication Strategies and Product Management for the Enterprise Large System and Small System solutions businesses.   Pierson has received several awards for outstanding leadership, including the Northern Telecom President's award and the Nortel Meridian Systems Award of Excellence for Leadership.

 

The current President for ANATEL, Ambassador Ronaldo Mota Sardenberg received in audience Mr. Laudálio Veiga Filho, President for Provisuale in his cabinet office in Brasília.

On that occasion, Mr. Veiga Filho formalized his invitation to  the President for Anatel  and to some counselors to attend Futurecom 2007.

 

Engineer Paulo Nordeste, the current President for PT Inovação, obtained large experience along his professional path. He led the Traffic Engineering Division, and was General Director of infrastructure at Portugal Telecom. He also acted as Science Officer at DGXIII-F of CCE,  the RACE program in Brussels, and afterwards, as National Delegate of the RACE and ACTS programs of the European Union.

A graduate  in Technical Electronic Engineering from the University of Coimbra; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the  Essex University, England; he has post-graduation in Enterprise Management from the Solvay Trade School (CEPAC) of the Free University of Brussels.

 

The presence of Deputy Júlio Semeghine is confirmed in the Grand Opening Ceremony and in a Political and Strategic Panel of Futurecom 2007.

He will participate in the Panel “Tax Reduction: Daring Proposals to Increase Added Value and Customer’s Basis”, which will be coordinated by Journalist Carlos Sardenberg.

 

His Excellency, the Minister of Communications Hélio Costa, received in audience the President for Provisuale, Laudálio Veiga Filho.

At this meeting  the Minister confirmed his participation in the Grand Opening Ceremony of Futurecom 2007 and also expressed his enthusiasm for the accomplishment of Futurecom 10th Edition, to be held in São Paulo, in 2008.

The audience also counted on the participation of Dr. Ludgero Pattaro, Counselor of Futurecom 2007 Thematic Commission.

 

André Veiga, Business Director of Provisuale, participates in the celebration of ABERIMEST’s 25th Anniversary, taking part in the Ceremony together with the Association President, Kleber Rezende Castilho, the Mayor of the city of São Paulo, Gilberto Kassab and the President for Telefonica , Antonio Carlos Valente.

Mr Marcos Vinícius Ferreira Mazoni, President for SERPRO – Federal Data Processing Services, confirmed his participation in Futurecom 2007.

He will participate in the Political and Strategic Panel “Innovation in the Electronic Control Services with Bigger Development, Lower Costs, Bigger Revenue and Lower Percentage”, which will be coordinated by Mr. Roberto Meir, Publisher of the specialized magazines B2B Magazine and Consumidor Moderno.

The meeting took place at Telefonica head office, in São Paulo, where they argued some subjects regarding the participation of Mr. Valente at Futurecom 2007 and about the preparation and accomplishment of Futurecom10th Edition, to be held in São Paulo, in 2008.

 

A graduate in Administration, with MBA and Masters Degree in Administration and Finance, besides having pursued some specialization fields at Harvard, Fábio Moser has acted as Vice-President of Corporate Business for Brasil Telecom since 2005. He currently leads the Council of Sistel Social Insurance Foundation and the Deliberative Council of the BrTPREV and F14 Foundations.

The professional path of Fábio Moser also includes activities at Fiago Participations, Banco do Brasil and Kepler Weber. He had relevant participation in the re-arrangement of the Brazilian Siderurgy Sector and was a member of several Investment Committees, Corporate and Government Technical /Investment Funds.

 

Sérgio Borges Chaia is President and CEO for Nextel Brazil. . He led previously Sodexho Pass  Brazil, where he started in 1996 as Marketing Director. Along his professional path, he assumed leadership positions in major companies such as Pfizer, Makro, Pepsi-Cola and KFC in the Marketing and Sales areas in Brazil and Latin America.

Laudálio Veiga Filho, President for Provisuale, and Business Director, André Veiga, visited the President for ABERT, Mr. Daniel Pimentel Slaviero, on July 25th. On that occasion Mr. Slaviero  was invited to make part of the Board of Authorities and Personalities at 2007 Futurecom Grand Opening Ceremony.

Mr.  Slaviero will also participate in following Political and Strategic Panel: “Mass Communication and Telecom:  Innovating Businesses and Overcoming Barriers Concerning New Convergence Solutions  that will be coordinated by Journalist” Fabiana Scaranzi.

 

Andrew Coward is responsible for Service Provider Sales at Juniper Networks.  Prior to Juniper, Andrew co-launched the Asia Pacific operation of Unisphere Networks in 1999. He led a team of system engineers to provide dedicated pre-sales and architectural design services, and support engineering services to customers through out the region. 

Andrew lived Asia for ten years, working with Service Providers, Enterprises and Governments across the region on IP technologies, first with Bay Networks and later with Nortel, where he designed and planned some of the largest IP networks in Asia Pacific.

Andrew started his career in government as a network engineer and progressed to role of Network Manager responsible for building one of the first United Kingdom nationwide government backbone IP networks.

 

The Engineer Gilson Rondinelli Filho has wide experience and a history of  relevant contributions to the Brazilian Telecommunications Sector. He is the current President for GRF Telecom, and he acted previously as Executive Vice-President for Vivo, besides having directed Telesp Celular.

 

Vice President, Marketing and Alliances, Oracle Communications, is responsible for Oracle Communications’ go to market strategy for its OSS/BSS software application suite enabling next-generation mobile, broadband and IP services.  In this capacity, David leads a knowledgeable worldwide team responsible for global marketing, product marketing and alliance and channel partners. 

Before joining Oracle, David was the Executive Vice-President of Marketing & Product Management for MetaSolv Software, Inc., where he led the company’s strategic product direction and was responsible for establishing the company’s leadership positions in OSS and was the firm’s leading market-facing executive.  Prior to MetaSolv, David led the product and engineering units of Nortel Network's OSS and Clarify CRM business units serving telecommunications operators worldwide.   He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Carleton University, and an International MBA from the University of Ottawa.

 

Sebastiano Tevarotto is the current Vice-President and General Manager of Communications, Media & Entertainment of HP. He was previously General Manager for Global Marketing and for  Organization in Southern Europe, having acted more expressively in the Telecommunications Sector in Italy.

Sebastiano started his professional path at the Microwave Technology Research Center of HP in Santa Rosa, CA, USA. He graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua in Italy.

 

Valéria Monteiro graduated in Social Sciences from Unicamp and in Journalism from PUCC.

Along her professional path she presented the main TV newscasts of Globo Channel and was elected the most reliable female journalist of Brazilian TV, in a survey made for the VEJA Magazine by Gallup Consulting Institute. In the nineties she worked in New York City for major TV Channels, such as the  Discovery Channel, National Geoghaphic, NBC and Bloomberg.

Since 2002 Valéria has worked for the consolidation of Toda América, her own Content Production Company.

 

Luiz Del Fiorentino acts currently as Commercial Vice- President for CPqD – Center of Telecommunications Research and Development.

Fiorentino is the author of several issues in Brazil and abroad in the Technical, Operational and Marketing areas. He has acted in many technical and management positions in the Telecommunications Sector, besides being a Member and President of the Administration and Control Councils of Companies that belong to this Sector.

A graduate in Electronic Engineering from the Institute of Aeronautical Technology (ITA), he has expertise in Electronic and Advanced Mathematics focused on Digital Engineering, having attended the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute - Washington, USA.

 

Eduardo Giannetti graduated in Economy  and Social Sciences from USP (University of São Paulo) and is a PhD in Economy from the University of Cambridge, England. He was elected the “Economist of the Year 2004” by the Order of Economists in São Paulo.

Author of several specialized periodicals and books, Giannetti is currently Professor at IBMEC, São Paulo.

 

Roberto Meir is an International Expert  in Consumption Relations, CRM, Relationship Marketing and Loyalty, Business Strategy and Digital Economy. He is a graduate in Chemical Engineering with post-graduation in Marketing, Financial Administration, Capital Markets and  MBA in Finance. Meir  is the Publisher of the magazines Consumidor Moderno and B2B Magazine. He is also the author of the book “O Brasil que Encanta o Cliente” –  (Brazil that fascinates the Customer) .

The Engineer is currently the President for ABRAREC - Brazilian Association for Corporate and Customer Relations and for over 10 years he has been a member of SOCAP (The Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals in Business).

 

The reputed Engineer Foad Shaikhzadeh started his professional path at Furukawa Industrial S/A in 1979, and currently acts as President for this company.

Foad is graduated in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP (São Paulo University), and specialized in Enterprise Administration from  Getulio Vargas Foundation.

After 36 year-career, the Journalist Wilson Moherdaui is now Publishing Manager and Partner Founder of  Plano Editorial. He has led Plano Editorial for 22 years, publishing the magazines Informática Hoje and Telecom, the yearbooks Informática Hoje, Anuário Telecom and TI & Governo, as well as the weekly newsletters Telecom Urgente and TI & Governo. Wilson is a graduated lawyer from the Law School of  USP and a graduated journalist from the Casper Líbero Foundaiton. He worked for the main Brazilian communication channels, as the periodicals O Estado de S. Paulo, Jornal da Tarde and Abril Publisher. He was also head of ABI (Brazilian Press Association),  the Union of Professional Journalists of São Paulo and President of the Journalists Association for IT and Telecommunications.

The 3rd Meeting of 2007 Futurecom Thematic Commission was held on July 2nd, Monday, at IBM headquarters in São Paulo. The Meeting counted on the presence of more than 40 attendees and the program included a speech on 2007 Futurecom novelties, the presentation and consolidation of the Political and Strategic Panels of the Event, besides the lecture: "Development and Economic Growth: BRIC or RIC ?" which was held by the Journalist Denise Campos Toledo.

Luiz Eduardo Falco Pires Corrêa graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from the ITA and post-graduated in Marketing and Finances from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. Between 1992 and 2001, he was Commercial and Marketing Vice-President for the air company TAM, where he started in 1986 as Production Manager and later, as Technical Director. Luiz Eduardo Falco is currently the President for OI. He has occupied this position since 2001.

 

Janaína Azevedo is a composer, singer and actress. She graduated in Scenic Arts and Music Therapy.
Her talent and peculiar style led her to work with great names in Brazilian Theater and  Pop Music, such as Miguel Falabella, Paulo Betti, Marilia Pera, Ney Matogrosso, among other highlights.
She has recently launched the first record of her career "Luz Sem Fim” (Endless Light), which has been sold in Europe, USA and Japan. Janaína also teaches pop singing and interpretation to singers.

 

Eric Cooney graduated in Nuclear Engineering from the Sea College of the United States, in Sciences for the University of Rochester and completed his MBA from the University of Southern California. The Engineer has worked as President for Tandberg Television since June 2003. He has acted  for the past 10 years for this company which was recently acquired by Ericsson Multinational Company. Along his career path, he obtained large experience in the multimedia industry, mainly for having worked for many years as support for Telecom Operators in the development of video platforms and digital services.

 

Graduated Journalist from the University of Brasilia, Leilane Neubarth started her career at the early Rede Manchete (a tv channel) and her fame was built afterwards at Rede Globo as presenter and reporter of the periodicals Bom Dia Brasil, Jornal Nacional, Fantástico, Jornal da Globo and Globo Repórter. In 2000 she coordinated the discussions between the candidates to the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro.
Currently Neubarth is the presenter of the RJTV, a newscast of Rede Globo and "Arquivo N", of Globonews.

 

Throughout his 37-year career, the Journalist Carlos Alberto Sardenberg was Journalism Manager at Rede Bandeirantes,  Newscast Presenter of Gazeta Mercantil and Roda Viva at Rede Cultura, News Editor and Publisher of Jornal do Brasil and Folha de São Paulo, besides the magazines Veja and IstoÉ. In the eighties Sardenberg also worked in the Brazilian political environment as Coordinator  of Social Communication at the Ministry of Planning.

The Journalist is presently one of the most active professionals of the Brazilian Press. Economy commentator and Anchor of CBN Brazil radio program, the Periodic News Jornal das Dez at Globonews TV and  Jornal da Globo at Rede Globo. Sardenberg also writes a weekly column for the newspapers Estado de São Paulo and O Globo. Furthermore he keeps the site www.sardenberg.com.br where he publishes economy analysis and comments.

 

Graça Sermoud, Journalist with post-graduation in Marketing, currently occupies the position of Publishing Director for Conteúdo Editorial, a company specialized in publishing products and services in the IT and Communication areas, among them, the magazines Decision Report and Risk Report.efore establishing Conteúdo Editorial in 2003, the Journalist had been Publishing Director for IDG Brazil for eleven years, being responsible for printed and on-line publications of the magazines Computerworld, World Telecom, Standard Business, Enterprise Management among others.

 

The 3rd Meeting of 2007 Futurecom Thematic Commission will take place at IBM headquarters in São Paulo on July 2nd, Monday.

The President for Provisuale, Mr. Laudálio Veiga Filho, and his wife, Janete Veiga, were received on June 12th, for a hearing with the Mayor of the City of São Paulo, Gilberto Kassab.

On that occasion, Laudálio and Janete Veiga  talked about the accomplishment of Futurecom Year 10 in São Paulo, October 2008. Kassab was very enthusiastic about this news!

 

Orga Systems, leader of billing systems for the Telecom Industry, was awarded a prize at the 2007 Billing Systems International Event in London, for the category of "Best Overall Contribution to Billing". Orga was awarded this prize  because of the great impact the Company had on the BBS scenery in 2006.

 

2007 Futurecom will count on the distinguished participation of Antonio Carlos Valente, President for Grupo Telefonica do Brasil. It is a great honor for the Event Organization to count on Valente’s contribution as Keynote Speaker.

 

Fabiana Scaranzi graduated from the Classical Ballet School, Publicity, Advertising and Journalism Faculties, was a model for five years, during which she lived in Germany, Japan and Spain. Her talent and adaptation ability allowed her to work as actress in a Roberto Talma´s Soap Opera of Rede Globo, which was the start of her career on TV.

Along her career path, she worked for Bandeirantes TV, Globonews and again for Rede Globo. She presented TV Shows, Jornal Nacional, Globo Rural, Jornal Hoje and SPTV. She currently acts as a reporter for all TV Journals at the channel for which she works and is the official columnist of Jornal Hoje.

 

The 2nd Meeting of 2007 Futurecom Thematic Commission was held on May 10th at the head-office of Accenture in São Paulo, and counted on the participation of important executives from the Brazilian Telecommunications and IT sectors. The Meeting had as main objective the consolidation of 2007 Futurecom Theme Cores and the proposal of subjects and titles for the Political and Strategic Panels. The guest speaker was José Márcio Almeida Mendonça, a worthy Political Commentator of the Eldorado Radio Station.

Renata Fan is presently recognized as one of the most versatile presenters of the Brazilian Television. She is a Lawyer and Journalist and was also very successful as a model. She lived in some European and Asian countries along her career path and in 1999 she conquered the 1st place at the Miss Brazil Competition.

Her media career started in 1995 as a speaker at the Transamérica Radio Station. In 2003 she presented the sports programs Terceiro Tempo and Debate Bola at Rede Record, where she achieved success and the recognition of the media. Now she presents the sports program called Jogo Aberto at Rede Bandeirantes.

 

Graduated in History, Right and Journalism, Heródoto Barbeiro represents today one of the most respected opinions of the Brazilian Press. He published in 2005 his first book on the Buddhist doctrine, which brought him fame as a writer. The Journalist currently commands the program called Culture Night at Rede Cultura. Furthermore he acts as a Journalism Manager at CBN.

 

Nominated member of the Managing Council of the National Telecommunications Agency, the Lawyer Antonio Domingos Teixeira Bedran assumed his five-year mandate on May 09th, with basis on a Decree signed by the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Bedran graduated from the Law School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, has a Masters Degree in Administrative Right and Post-graduation in Company Right from Fundação Dom Cabral.

Along his career path the Lawyer was an Advisor to the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais and headed the Administration Councils of Embratel and Telemig. For the Federal Government he acted as Juridical Consultant of the Ministry of Communications. Since August 1988 Antonio Bedran has been the General Procurator of Anatel.

 

The model, presenter and actress will be a highlight at the 9th Edition of the Event, acting as Master of Ceremonies at 2007 Futurecom Grand Opening Ceremony. Provisuale held the 2nd Meeting of 2007 Futurecom Thematic Commission at the head office of Accenture in São Paulo on May 10th. The meeting counted on the presence of important executives from the Brazilian Telecommunications Sector.

The 1st Meeting of 2007 Futurecom Thematic Commission took place at the headquarters of Cisco, also located in São Paulo, on March 28th.

The Grand Opening Ceremony of the 9th Futurecom Edition, scheduled for October 1st, will count on the great talent of the singer and composer Toquinho, with live presentation of the Brazilian National Hymn. The singer will also present a closing show, planned for October 4th.

 

The Editorialist George Vidor, is an Economic Commentator of the newspaper O Globo, where he also publishes a column every Monday, simultaneously with other Brazilian communication vehicles. Vidor is also a commentator of Globonews, a cable subscription channel that belongs to Rede Globo.
